Terms
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and OTPBox ("OTPBox", "we") for using otpbox.ng. By creating an account or buying a number, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use OTPBox.
1. What OTPBox does
OTPBox sells temporary phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes. You buy a number for a service and country, enter it where the code is needed, and the text it receives is shown to you on OTPBox.
Numbers come from telecom suppliers and are temporary. They are not yours to keep, and the same number may be used by someone else later. Don't use an OTPBox number for an account you will need to recover, or for anything that relies on keeping that number.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email. Keep access to that email safe; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You must be at least 18, and the details you give must be true.
One person, one account. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
3. Your wallet
You pay for numbers from your OTPBox wallet. Each account has one balance, held in USD. You can see it, and every price, in naira or USD; the naira figure uses today's rate, so it can change while the USD amount stays the same.
A naira top-up is added at the rate shown when you start it. We don't charge a top-up fee: your wallet gets exactly what you pay. The ways to pay depend on your country. Card top-ups open after your first top-up by another way, with a daily limit. Crypto sent on the wrong network, in the wrong coin, or short of the amount shown may not be recoverable or may need a manual check.
Wallet money doesn't expire and doesn't earn interest. A wallet is not a bank account. You can ask to withdraw your balance through Help; we handle withdrawals by hand and may ask you to confirm who you are first. Payment provider fees on a withdrawal are taken from the amount.
4. Prices, codes and refunds
The price shown when you buy is the price you pay. Prices change with our suppliers' prices and may differ between countries, lines and currencies.
A number waits 5 minutes for its first code. If no code arrives in that time, or you cancel first, the number closes and the full price goes back to your OTPBox wallet automatically. Refunds for numbers always go to your wallet, not to a bank or card.
Once a code has arrived, the purchase is complete and isn't refundable, including when the number was entered wrongly or the service later rejects it. Some lines accept more codes for a short time after each code; those extra codes are free.
"Use again" lets you buy some numbers a second time, at the same price as a new number. Whether a number can be used again is decided by the network; if it refuses, you aren't charged.
Delivery rates are what numbers on that line achieved recently. They are a guide, not a promise: a service may refuse, delay or block a number, and we can't control that.
5. Fair use
Use OTPBox only for lawful purposes and in line with the rules of the services you sign up to. You must not use OTPBox to commit fraud, to impersonate anyone, to get around a ban or a limit placed on you, to harass anyone, to send spam, or to break any law.
We may refuse, pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts our suppliers or other customers at risk, or that a payment provider flags. If we close an account, we return any remaining wallet balance unless the law or an investigation of fraud or a payment dispute stops us.
If you dispute a card top-up with your bank while having used the money, we may hold your account until the dispute is settled.
6. Support
Help is inside the app: our assistant answers straight away and passes anything it can't settle to our team. You can also email support@otpbox.ng.
7. Our responsibility
We work to keep OTPBox running and your money safe, but we provide the service as it is and as available. We aren't responsible for what third-party services do with a number, for codes they never send, or for losses that come from using a temporary number for something that needed a permanent one.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited. Where the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
8. Changes and ending
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies. You can stop using OTPBox at any time and ask for your balance back.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
