What is OTPBox?
OTPBox gives you a temporary phone number to receive an SMS verification code, for WhatsApp, Telegram, Google and hundreds of other services, in many countries. You buy the number, enter it where the code is needed, and the code appears on your OTPBox screen.
How do I sign in?
With Google, or with your email: we send a 6-digit code that works for 10 minutes. There's no password to remember.
Is my balance in naira or USD?
You have one balance. Tap ₦ or $ at the top to see it, and every price, either way. Behind the scenes it's held in USD, so the naira figure follows today's rate. Prices are the same for everyone.
Wallet and payments
How do I top up?
In Nigeria: bank transfer, Nigerian card, USDT or USDC. Elsewhere: mobile money, card, USDT or USDC. There's no top-up fee: your wallet gets exactly what you pay. The smallest top-up is ₦1,000 or $2 ($5 in crypto, about $12 for USDT on TRC20, $10 by foreign card). Card opens after your first top-up by another way. With crypto, send only the coin and network shown; another coin or network can't be recovered.
How long does a top-up take?
Usually a minute or two. A bank transfer can take up to 15 minutes. If it hasn't landed after that, ask in Help inside the app and we'll check it.
Can I withdraw my balance?
Yes, by request: sign in, open Help and ask. Our team handles withdrawals by hand. Refunds for numbers always go back to your OTPBox wallet.
Numbers and codes
What happens after I buy a number?
The number waits 5 minutes for its first code. Enter it in the app or site that sends the code, then watch your OTPBox screen. The code shows as soon as the SMS lands.
What if no code comes?
If no code arrives in 5 minutes, the number closes and the full price goes back to your wallet automatically. You can also cancel after 2 minutes for a full refund.
Can one number get more than one code?
Some lines can. On those, the number keeps listening for 5 minutes after each code, and extra codes are free.
Can I use a number again later?
Some numbers can be bought again for another code, at the same price as a new number. Your Numbers page shows "Use again" when it's possible. If the network refuses, nothing is charged.
Can I keep a number?
No. Numbers are temporary and can't be kept or rented long term, so don't use one for an account you'll need to recover later.
I entered the wrong number in the app. Can I get a refund?
If no code arrives, the refund is automatic. Once a code has arrived on the number you bought, it's yours and isn't refundable.
